The Big Meadow Search, an initiative we started in 2021, has been running again this year from June 1st and will finish on August 31st.  So you still have nearly a week to go and see what you can find on any bit of interesting local grassland – it could be a churchyard, road verge, wild garden, amenity grassland, section of coast path, woodland ride, as well as a meadow.  You don’t have to be an expert botanist, just identify what you can.  You can enter your results online at https://www.bigmeadowsearch.co.uk/. All records are valuable, and if you are away on holiday somewhere out of Carmarthenshire, do your search there as we welcome records from all over the UK.  All records will be forwarded to the appropriate local environmental records centre.  So please help us by spending the odd half hour or whatever time you can spare by doing a Big Meadow Search – there’s lots more info on the BMS website, so use the link to have a look.
