The event will be a talk by the very knowledgable Liam Olds on “The Biodiversity of Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park“
The event is billed as “an evening of discovery” which explores the biodiversity of former colliery sites in the South Wales Valleys. Liam Olds, an entomologist and the founder of the “Colliery Spoil Biodiversity Initiative” will be sharing his discoveries and raising awareness of the biodiversity importance of colliery spoil sites in the Welsh Valleys. His talk will cover the results of a recent invertebrate survey conducted at Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park, a former colliery site in Tumble and the interesting invertebrates, plants and other wildlife that were found.
