“We feel incredibly lucky to be the guardians of this beautiful piece of land & are enjoying regenerating ‘improved’ grassland back to species rich meadow, creating a horticulture area and forest garden. We have also created a number of ponds & hedgerows & have added to the existing 6 acres of woodland planting 5000 trees, wrapping the grassland with what will be mixed rotational coppice. In the future we hope to work the land with a horse to reduce our use of fossil fuels & to bring people closer to nature providing a space for education and relaxation. We would love some help mulching the trees in the new coppice coups and would love to take anyone interested in our project on a wander around Coed Glas.

Sunday 7th July
10am for tea/coffee. We’ll aim to start mulching at 10.30. Please bring something for a bring & share lunch. Also a mug, bowl & spoon would be really helpful. Children welcome.
