A research paper has recently been published describing a nice experiment carried out in Surrey. It’s now well known that Wildflower meadows can make a significant contribution to carbon capture and sequestration, but there are various different ways of establishing species-rich meadows. This paper describes research looking at the effects of various ways of establishing wildflower meadows, and their differing effects on the soils ability to retain carbon.
