We will be holding our Spring Meeting on Saturday 18 April at the Coronation Hall, Pumsaint, starting at 10:00. The postcode of the hall is SA19 8UW. Many followers of this website will have read “Tir- The Story of the Welsh Landscape” by Carwyn Graves. Carwyn will be giving the main talk for this meeting, titled ‘Arian y Gweirwyr: Meadows Within the Welsh Cultural Landscape’.
There will also be a short AGM and some brief presentations including one on updating the CMG website, another on the first five years of our Big Meadow Search project, and another entitled ‘Bridging the Gap – Bringing Together Conservation and Farming’. We will also have a preliminary discussion the issues around protecting biodiverse land into the future with a view to teeing up a topic for our autumn meeting later this year.
There will be time for discussion stimulated by all the talks, and an opportunity to chat during the break when tea/coffee/biscuits will be served. The meeting should end at about 1:00pm. All are welcome at our meetings, entry free for CMG members and £3 for non-members, or you can join the group for a year for £10.
There is plenty of parking at the hall. Hope to see you there.
