CMG Autumn Meeting 31 October 2026

Posted in News

This year’s CMG Autumn Meeting will be on Saturday 31 October at Bancyfelin Village Hall, west of Carmarthen.  10am to 1pm.

Tasha Reilly of Tir Natur will be talking about their new flagship rewilding site in Cwm Doethïe.

There will be a presentation by one of CMG’s founder members on observed effects of heat and drought on his smallholding this year.

Following on from the introductory discussion at our Spring meeting in Pumsaint, there will be a presentation and discussion on how we might protect our biodiverse land into the future both after we leave and in the face of climate change.

There will be a short talk on the “Your Wild Patch” project being run by the West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre (WWBIC) on behalf of CMG members.

The extreme weather events seen this year and forecast for this Autumn will provide an inevitable backdrop to our programme and discussions.

We hope to see you there. The hall is easy to find, on the A40 from Carmarthen or St. Clears, turn off dual carriageway and enter Bancyfelin Village, turn at the Chapel where there is a road sign pointing to Hall. Turn right into Cywyn housing estate then turn right into Hall car park.
