A Reminder – Restoring Marshy Grassland Event on 6 June at 6.30pm

All – so far only a few have booked onto this event which is surely one that has relevance to many.  Please consider if you can fit this into your diary – and give this your support!

Restoring marshy grassland – CCC/PONT – a site visit for CMG members – Wednesday 6 June 6.30pm

This visit is to a site in Cross Hands, which is managed by Carmarthenshire County Council with support from PONT.  The site is being managed by Amanda Evans (CCC Conservation Project Officer) with help from Emma Douglas (PONT) by stock grazing and habitat management (coppicing/fencing) and has received funding from the Glastir Small Grant programme.

It is an opportunity to discuss the benefits of grazing animals when managing marshy grassland and the issues to think about when tackling encroaching scrub.

Please book for this session which will be about 1.5-2 hours. Wellies required!
