CMG members enjoyed a visit to land near Crwbin Common on Wednesday 23 May. This 50 acre site consists of a variety of grassland and woodland habitats and part of it falls in to the Coedydd Capel Dyddgen SSSI. It was a very pleasant morning in the sunshine with a good attendance:
Star plants of the day:
Salad Burnett
Ash (Fraxinus excelsior) and hazel (Corylus avellana) limestone woodland:
Southern Marsh Orchid (Dactylorhiza praetermissa)
Water Avens (Geum rivale)
With many thanks and appreciation to the landowners for making the trip possible and giving their time on the day.
Rachel
