Bumblebees
I have received notification of the following events from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust – more specifically Clare Flynn, Outreach Officer Bee Wild West Wales:
Guided Bumblebee Walk at National Trust Stackpole, Tuesday 3rd July.
Come and join Clare and warden, Haydn Garlick, for an afternoon walk to discover the Bumblebees of the beautiful Stackpole Estate. Meet: Broad Haven South NT Car Park at 1.30pm. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Finish: Approx 4pm.

Bumblebee Walks as Part of National Meadows Day, National Trust Llanerchaeron, Saturday 7th July .
Come and join me for informal walks in the stunning gardens of Llanerchaeron to look for bumblebees and learn more about them.

Clare is currently putting together a program of Bumblebee Blitzes across the three counties, open to all and no experience necessary but will provide opportunities to learn and improve spotting and ID skills.
I will keep my eye out for notices – and put up here anything that might be of interest.
Bracken
I have also had notice that Powys Moorland Partnership are running a Bracken Management Event near Knighton in Powys. Its a bit of a hike from Carmarthenshire – but has talks in the morning and machinery demonstrations later in the day. A link to the event details is below – and you can take a view:
