On Wednesday 12th April 2023 at 7:30pm, there will be a series of 3 short talks by Peter Hatherley showing how folklore is shaped by the natural environment, “The Green Man and the Green Wood”. Each talk in some way represents our relationship to the natural world. Grace Hunt, the digital fundraising and communications officer of the Wildlife Trust will then give a short talk outlining her role in comms and fundraising for the trust.
The group’s regular meetings are in the Vestry of the Capel Newydd Independent Chapel in Crescent Road, Llandeilo opposite the big car park (parking free after 6:30pm). There will also be a short AGM – the first since 2019.
Everyone welcome. We also would welcome suggestions for talks and events, and ideas which involve families and youngsters especially during the summer months. So please come along and have your say!
For future details of events go to the Trust website https://www.welshwildlife.org/events – for the E Carmarthenshire group (which actually covers the whole of Carmarthenshire) look for the Red Squirrel on a branch eating a nut.
