The Meadows Group has been contacted by a Trustee of Lluest Horse & Pony Trust, an Equine Welfare Charity near Llandeilo. The Trust is asking around for keen hobby scythers who might be able to give up some time to help them.
The Trust’s land includes about an acre of steep dock and buttercup pasture that really needs a good scything as part of improved land management going forwards. It’s too steep for a tractor but a team of scythers would really do the business.

I have no scything experience (or scythe!) but would love to learn and would be v happy to get involved (& it’s handily on my doorstep).
Appreciate you’ve sent this out on behalf of the Lluest Trust and there’s a limit to your involvement – just putting this out there in case some spontaneous scythe training manifests somehow – I imagine the CMG mailing list could conjure up all sorts of things 🙂!
