Next Saturday, 31st October, we will be holding our Autumn Meeting at the Village Hall, Bancyfelin. The meeting will start at 10:00, and finish about 1pm.
We have just experienced 2 serious storms one after the other. The summer was the hottest yet recorded, with drought conditions. At the meeting we will be discussing how our sites may fare going into a future of climate change and how we can adapt to these changing weather patterns.
We’ll also hear what the possibilities are for protecting our biodiverse sites into the future, after we have moved on. There will also be a talk on the “Your Wild Patch” project, run by WWBIC (West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre) for sites managed by CMG members, and a presentation by Tash Reilly, the chair of the boards of trustees of Tir Natur, a charity focused on Nature Recovery by rewilding. You can read about Tir Natur here:
All are welcome at the meeting, entry is free for CMG members and £3 for non-members.
