On 23 May 2018:
A big thanks to Richard and Kath Pryce who have given us the opportunity to take a guided tour of their fields and woodland on 23 May 2018. This is open to CMG members only
Their place is in the Pontyberem area, South East of Carmarthen.
The tour will start at 10.30 on 23rd May, and should take around two hours. Numbers have to be limited, so to book your place, please contact Kate Smith at the West Wales Biodiversity Information Centre (WWBIC) by email – kate@westwalesbiodiversity.org.uk.
Kate will give you directions on how to get there.
Remember to bear in mind that some of the woodlands are steep and rocky, possibly with loose rocks underfoot and it could also be muddy in parts. Be prepared and come in stout boots or Wellies.
If some find the itinerary too arduous, the route could be limited to the pastures and easy bits of woodland. There will be brambles, low-branches and twigs – so be aware of trip, eye and scratch hazards, as well as the possibility of damage to clothes! We don’t want to make it sound too dangerous though – there are no bears.
Please do contact Kate as soon as possible – so we get a decent idea on numbers.
Rachel
Look forward to this visit, as this is probably optimal timing for spring flowers of rhos pastures
